When do I need a flatbed instead of a regular tow?
Choose a flatbed when your vehicle is all-wheel drive, has low ground clearance, has damaged wheels or suspension, or is going more than a few miles. Dragging an AWD car on two wheels can damage the transfer case, so a flatbed avoids an expensive second repair.
